Bhopal Bulldozer Action: Mohan Government Demolishes Drug Mafia’s Mansion, Sends Strong Message Against Crime”

In a dramatic crackdown in Bhopal, the Mohan government launched a bulldozer operation against the family of alleged drug traffickers and rape accused Yaseen and Shahwar Machhli. The authorities demolished their lavish three-story mansion, which was reportedly built illegally on 15,000 square feet of government land and valued between ₹100 and ₹160 crore.

The operation began around 11 AM on Thursday, with municipal corporation and police teams deploying six JCBs and Poklen machines to raze the property. Before the demolition, officials removed valuables from the mansion, and a large crowd gathered to witness the action.

This is not the first time the administration has taken such measures; earlier, properties worth ₹50-60 crore belonging to the Machhli family were also demolished. The crackdown follows the arrest of Yaseen Ahmed and his family by the Crime Branch, who recovered drugs from their vehicle. The family, known for their fish business, faces allegations of amassing wealth through illegal means and building a criminal empire.

The demolition serves as a stern warning from Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who has vowed tough action against the drug trade. Police officials made it clear: anyone involved in narcotics and harming the public will face similar consequences.

Despite protests from family members—who tried to block the bulldozers and pleaded for more time to vacate—the administration pressed ahead, citing prior notice and legal procedures. Some locals criticized the action, questioning why authorities allowed the illegal construction in the first place and expressing concern for innocent buyers and children affected by the demolition.

The crackdown comes after Shahwar Machhli and his nephew Yaseen were arrested in a college student rape and blackmail case. Their uncle, Sharik Machhli, was also apprehended. The demolition marks a significant escalation in the fight against organized crime and illegal property in Bhopal.

As the dust settles, the message from the authorities is clear: the state will not tolerate drug trafficking or the accumulation of illegal wealth.
