Shouts from onlookers can be heard, expressing concern as the bikers were carried off, “They won’t be able to make it!” Fortunately, timely information allowed rescue agencies to act without delay. Both young men were quickly located in a nearby jungle area, pulled to safety, and transported from the scene in a police vehicle before being transferred to an ambulance. Thanks to the prompt response, both bikers survived the ordeal.

Despite this near tragedy, the incident appeared to have little impact on other bikers in Nainital. Later, on the Haldwani-Saldi road, with traffic blocked due to a landslide, bikers could be seen risking their lives again—some pushing their motorcycles over piles of debris, while others tried to ride across it.

Such scenes highlight the dangers of underestimating natural hazards, especially in regions prone to sudden water surges and landslides. Authorities urge citizens and travelers to exercise extreme caution and avoid unnecessary risks during the monsoon season.
