Dipika Kakar Breaks Down as Son Ruhaan Heads into Liver Cancer Surgery 😭🙏
Television star Dipika Kakar Siddiqui was overcome with emotion today at the hospital when her young son, Ruhaan, was wheeled in for a critical liver cancer operation. The tearful moment, captured by paparazzi outside the OR entrance, has since gone viral—sparking an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues alike.
The Heart-Wrenching Scene
At 10:30 AM, Dipika—dressed in simple white salwar kameez—embraced Ruhaan tightly before he was taken in for a marathon procedure expected to last 6–8 hours.
With tears streaming down her face, Dipika whispered words of encouragement: “Mera veer, tu bilkul theek ho jayega. Hum tere saath hain.”
Shoaib Ibrahim, Dipika’s husband, stood by her side, holding her hand as cameras clicked. His customary calm mask gave way to visible worry for their three-year-old’s wellbeing.
Ruhaan’s Diagnosis and Battle So Far
Ruhaan was diagnosed with hepatoblastoma (a rare childhood liver cancer) three months ago after persistent abdominal pain.
Since then, he has undergone two rounds of chemotherapy, which successfully shrank the tumor enough to make surgery possible.
Today’s operation at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital is the most complex phase: the surgical team will remove the remaining tumor mass and reconstruct the liver tissue.
Family’s Vigil and Medical Update
Dipika’s mother and Shoaib’s parents are keeping a bedside vigil in the pre-op waiting area.
According to Dr. Kaviraj Singh, the pediatric surgical oncologist leading the case, “The preliminary scans are encouraging. We anticipate a challenging but potentially curative resection.”
Post-surgery, Ruhaan will spend several days in the ICU for close monitoring and liver function support.
Fan and Industry Support
The hashtag #PrayForRuhaan is trending across Twitter and Instagram as fans share messages of faith and hope.
Co-stars from “Bigg Boss 12” and fellow television personalities have posted prayers and virtual get-well cards:
Srishty Rode: “Sending all my love to baby Ruhaan and strength to Dipika & Shoaib.”
Karanvir Bohra: “He’s in the best hands. Prayers up!”
Charity groups are also mobilizing to raise funds for pediatric cancer research in Ruhaan’s name.
What’s Next
The surgery is expected to conclude by early evening; Dr. Singh will provide a detailed update shortly thereafter.
If all goes well, Ruhaan will begin a tailored regimen of immunotherapy to reduce any microscopic cancer cells.
Dipika and Shoaib have requested privacy during Ruhaan’s recovery but promise periodic updates on his progress.
As Dipika fights back tears and Shoaib stands resolute, the nation joins them in hope and prayer. May young Ruhaan emerge from this trial stronger—and may his parents soon share news of a successful operation and a swift road to recovery.
