Tanushree Dutta Faces Backlash for Eating Mutton During Sawan Fast, Fans Question Her Mental Health

It seems that actress Tanushree Dutta is once again making headlines, and this time for a rather controversial reason. Recently, she was seen breaking her Sawan (a holy month in the Hindu calendar) fast by eating mutton. This has sparked outrage on social media, with many people questioning her respect for religious traditions and even suggesting that she needs medical help.

A few days ago, Tanushree suddenly came back into the limelight after posting an emotional video in which she sought help and protection, alleging threats and making serious accusations against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, even claiming he has underworld connections. The video went viral, with Tanushree seen crying and appealing for support.

However, now public focus has shifted to her dietary choices during Sawan. When asked by followers why she ate mutton while observing a religious fast, Tanushree responded by tying her decision to Ayurveda, stating its health benefits. In a social media post, she wrote, “I think there’s no need to make festivals, rituals or fasts too strict or rule-based. Every person has their own bodily needs. This kind of fasting works best for me — I get to observe the ritual, while also supporting my mental health. After breaking the fast, I get a high-protein, nutritious meal, which keeps my body in top form.”

Her explanation did little to calm the outrage. Many users lashed out at her, with one commenting, “I’m unfollowing you. Honestly, your posts are affecting my mental health. You need a doctor.” Another wrote, “No shame! Karma will hit you back.” Some called her a hypocrite for chanting Hindu prayers while eating meat, and others compared her to controversial figures, telling her to seek professional psychological help.

Users accused Tanushree of creating unnecessary drama and criticized her for such posts, especially during a holy month like Sawan. Her recent controversies have left people debating whether she is genuinely in need of help or simply seeking attention.
