Shocking Twist in Shillong Honeymoon Murder Case: Sonam and Raj Admit Relationship
A dramatic new development has emerged in the infamous “Shillong Honeymoon Murder Case.” Until now, both Sonam and Raj had denied being in a relationship, but they have now confessed to being romantically involved, adding a new dimension to the ongoing investigation.
Relationship Confession and New Evidence
According to police sources, Sonam and Raj, who were previously reluctant to acknowledge their relationship, have finally admitted to it during police questioning. Earlier, both accused each other of Raja’s murder, deflecting blame as the investigation progressed. However, with the arrest of a broker from Indore, as well as a builder named Lokendra and a security guard, the case has become clearer.
As the investigation deepened, both Sonam and Raj began cooperating with the police. The East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Vivek CM, confirmed that the crime scene was reconstructed with both suspects reenacting the sequence of events. Police officials stated they have gathered sufficient evidence and are preparing to present the case in court.
No Need for Narco Test
SP Vivek CM further clarified that a narco test is only conducted when there is a lack of evidence. In this case, the police are confident in the strength of their collected proof. He also mentioned that the Supreme Court has already rejected the use of narco tests, making it unnecessary here. The police continue to question other individuals connected to the case and are working diligently to gather all relevant evidence to ensure a fair judicial process.
Indore Connection and Further Investigations
In a significant development related to the Raja Raghuvanshi murder, Indore police took major action on Tuesday. Lokendra Singh Tomar, the owner of the flat where Sonam was hiding after the murder, has been handed over to the Meghalaya Police on a three-day transit remand. Lokendra was apprehended on Monday in Gwalior and presented in court on Tuesday, after which he was sent on a 72-hour transit remand. He will be taken to Indore, then Delhi, Guwahati, and finally Shillong for further investigation.
Meanwhile, Indore police are searching for Sonam’s laptop, which may contain crucial evidence related to the case.
