Kidnapped 8-Year-Old Boy from Agra Found Murdered in Rajasthan After Ransom Demand Fails
A tragic incident has come to light from Agra, where an 8-year-old boy who was kidnapped three months ago from the Fatehabad police station area has been found murdered. The child’s body was discovered in Dholpur district, Rajasthan, near the highway in the Maniyan police station area.
Timeline of the Crime
The boy was abducted outside his home in Agra, after which the kidnappers demanded a ransom of ₹80 lakh from his family. Despite repeated threats, the ransom was not paid and the abductors brutally killed the child, burying his body near the highway.
Acting on leads provided by Uttar Pradesh Police, Dholpur Police were able to recover the body and sent it for postmortem. The family identified the deceased based on his clothes.
Investigation and Arrests
Suspicion initially fell on Krishna, who ran a public service center across from the boy’s house and already had two theft cases pending against him. Police started monitoring his movements and checked his call records on the day of the kidnapping. On April 30, Krishna’s location was traced to Dholpur. This crucial clue led to his detention and, after questioning, he confessed to the crime.
On Krishna’s information, the police recovered the boy’s body, which was stuffed in a sack and buried in a pit near the highway. Two men have been arrested in the case: Krishna alias Bhajan Lal, the main accused, and Rahul, son of Lakshmi Narayan, who lived across from the boy’s house and ran a local service center. During further interrogation, both confessed to the plot and murder.
Modus Operandi
According to police, the child was familiar with the accused and was lured away easily. Within about an hour and a half of the abduction, the boy was killed. Over the next 15 days, letters demanding ransom were dropped near the victim’s home, each time specifying a different location for the possible money drop-off.
Aftermath
Following the discovery, the boy’s family created an uproar at the hospital postmortem center, demanding severe punishment for the accused. The grieving mother fainted upon seeing her child’s body. After completion of the postmortem, the remains were handed over to the family for last rites.
Police Statement
Inspector Ram Naresh Meena of Maniyan Police Station stated, “The child was kidnapped by someone familiar from his neighborhood, then killed and the body was buried in Rajasthan when the ransom was not delivered. Both accused have confessed to the crime during detailed interrogation.”
Conclusion
The shocking crime has sent waves of sorrow and outrage across the region, reigniting concerns over child safety and neighborhood vigilance. Authorities have assured strict action against the accused and have appealed for calm while investigations proceed.
