Political Tensions Surface Amidst SI Recruitment Protests in Rajasthan

Amid ongoing protests over the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment process in Rajasthan, political leaders are facing tough questions about their alliances and support. In a recent interview, Nirmal Chaudhary, a prominent political figure, addressed rumors and concerns regarding his relationship with Hanuman Beniwal, leader of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), and his involvement in the ongoing agitation.

Congress Alliance and Allegations

When asked about claims that several Congress leaders wanted a delay of one month in certain matters, Chaudhary responded, “As an elder brother, I haven’t encountered such a case myself. Our alliance partners in the INDIA bloc, especially those from Rajasthan, are respected leaders. If this matter has come to their attention, I will discuss it with them to understand who was involved and what exactly happened. As of now, I have no direct knowledge of such an incident.”

Support for Hanuman Beniwal and SI Recruitment Protest

Chaudhary was also questioned about his support for Hanuman Beniwal, who has been leading a sit-in protest for several months over the SI recruitment issue. “We have been opposing the SI recruitment from day one, ever since the issue came to light. On all public interest matters, we stand together,” he said, indicating a willingness to join Beniwal’s protest in person if needed.

Questions Over Election Campaign Support

The conversation turned pointed when Chaudhary was asked about criticism from Beniwal’s supporters, who accused him of abandoning Beniwal during the Lok Sabha election campaign. “This is a wrong question for me. You should ask Hanuman ji whether I campaigned for him or not. You can check my social media to see my support. Perhaps some BJP supporters are trying to mislead people,” Chaudhary responded, urging reporters to verify the facts themselves.

Viral Video and Internal Discontent

The controversy has been fueled by a viral video showing some of Beniwal’s supporters expressing disappointment with Chaudhary. They alleged that Chaudhary only turned to Beniwal during times of trouble but failed to support him during the crucial election period. Chaudhary, however, dismissed these claims and reiterated his commitment to the cause.

The SI recruitment protest continues to be a flashpoint in Rajasthan’s political landscape, highlighting not only administrative grievances but also the complexities of political alliances and public perception. As leaders like Nirmal Chaudhary and Hanuman Beniwal navigate these challenges, all eyes remain on how their cooperation will shape the ongoing movement.
