TV Actress Preeti Talreja Alleges Betrayal and Abuse by Husband

Preeti Talreja, known for her role in Colors TV’s show “Krishnadasi,” has reportedly suffered betrayal in her marriage. According to recent reports, Preeti married Abhijeet Petkar, believing him to be a Hindu, only to discover after their wedding that he was actually a Muslim. Preeti alleges that her husband pressured her to convert to his religion and subjected her to physical abuse.

The film industry has seen several actresses, from Kareena Kapoor to Sonakshi Sinha, who have married into different faiths and are living happily. However, Preeti’s story has taken a different turn. She claims that after marrying Abhijeet, whom she thought was Hindu, she found out about his real identity. Preeti states that he not only hid his true religion but also forced her to undergo a Muslim marriage ceremony (nikah) in a mosque.

Preeti reported the matter to the Kalyan Police Station, accusing her husband of hiding his real identity and failing to provide her with the necessary certificate under Muslim law after their nikah. She also revealed that her husband repeatedly pressured her to convert, and when she refused, he allegedly assaulted her. Preeti shared images of her injuries on social media, stating that she was once beaten so badly she was left half-dead.

When the situation became unbearable, Preeti pleaded for help from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Chief Minister via social media. Following these revelations, Preeti’s current whereabouts are unknown. Her Instagram account, previously active under the name “I Am Preeti” until 2021, has since disappeared, and no one seems to know where she is. This has led to concerns about her safety, with some fearing that something untoward may have happened to her.
