Actor Shoaib Ibrahim requests fans to pray for wife Dipika Kakar’s health; reveals “Dipika ke liver mein tumor hai, she will undergo surgery”

Television actor Shoaib Ibrahim recently posted a new video on his YouTube channel to update fans about his wife, Dipika Kakar’s health.

He began the vlog by saying that they’ve always been open with their fans and share everything with them. Shoaib then shared some sad news — his wife, actress Dipika Kakar, hasn’t been feeling well and is dealing with a serious health problem.

Shoaib revealed in the video that Dipika has been diagnosed with a tumor in her liver.

“Dipika theek nahi hai, thoda sa usko stomach mein issue hai joh serious hai,” he said.
“When I was in Chandigarh, Dipika started having pain in her stomach. Initially, we thought it was due to acidity and she treated it accordingly. But when the pain didn’t subside, she consulted our family doctor — the same one who treated our father.”

The doctor prescribed some antibiotics and advised blood tests. Dipika continued the antibiotics until May 5, and when Shoaib returned, she was feeling better. However, after her father-in-law’s birthday, the pain came back. Around that time, the blood test reports arrived and indicated an infection in her body.

Shoaib continued:

“Our doctor asked us to visit again, and this time he recommended a CT scan. The scan showed that Dipika has a tumor in the left lobe of her liver. It is quite large — about the size of a tennis ball. It was very shocking for us.”

He explained that after seeing the CT scan, the doctor advised immediate hospitalization. Their first concern was whether the tumor might be cancerous. While the CT scan did not suggest cancer, the doctors still couldn’t confirm anything without further tests.

Dipika was admitted to Advanced Hospital and has been there for the past three days, undergoing several tests — including CT scans, sonography, and blood work.

Thankfully, none of the results so far have shown signs of cancer, although a few more important tests are still pending.

Shoaib confirmed that the tumor cannot be treated without surgery, and Dipika will need an operation soon to have it removed.

She was discharged earlier today, and Shoaib brought her back home for comfort and rest. However, she is scheduled to consult a liver specialist on Friday at Kokilaben Hospital to plan the next steps in her treatment. The doctor had recommended she stay in the hospital, but Shoaib felt she’d rest better at home.

He noted that one crucial blood test result is still pending and is expected to arrive tomorrow, which the family is anxiously waiting for.

Shoaib also mentioned the family’s concern for their son, baby Ruhaan, who still relies on Dipika for breastfeeding. The situation has left the family deeply worried.

He urged fans to pray for Dipika’s health, just as they did during his father’s illness. Shoaib requested everyone to put aside negativity and hate, and come together in prayer for his wife’s recovery.

Dipika Kakar, best known for her roles in Sasural Simar Ka and Celebrity MasterChef India, has taken a break from work to focus on her health and family.
