She was discovered seeking shelter from the rain by the roadside, dressed in shorts and a black shirt and scribbling something on a piece of paper while muttering in English—her words incoherent to those around her.

When approached by locals, Sumhar struggled to speak clearly but managed to introduce herself, saying, “I am Sumhar Chaudhary, an actress.” At first, people mistook her for an ordinary woman and ignored her pleas, but upon searching her name online, they were shocked to discover her extensive body of work.

Sumhar Chaudhary had appeared in several Bengali films, including supporting roles in acclaimed movies like Dwitiya Purush and Khashi Katha – Egota Shaga, where she worked with legendary actor Naseeruddin Shah. She also acted in television series such as Rupasagare, Monare Manush, and Tomay Ashi Pase Thakle. Her journey is a grim reminder of how fame can be fleeting.
