Leaders Rally in Patna: Call for Unity Against “Bl@ck Laws” and Defense of Secularism
Patna, Bihar – In a charged atmosphere at a recent mass gathering, political leaders issued a clarion call for unity against what they described as “black laws” threatening the secular and constitutional fabric of India. The event, attended by thousands from across Bengal, Bihar, and neighboring states, was marked by passionate speeches, slogans, and historical references.
Apologizing to the nation, a prominent speaker said, “We are sorry that in this country, the responsibility to preserve secularism was on our shoulders. Today, we must raise our voices together.” The crowd responded with resounding chants of “Awaaz Do!” (“Raise your voice!”).

The leader invoked the friendship between freedom fighters Ram Prasad Bismil and Ashfaqulla Khan, asserting, “If their spirit of unity returns, we will surely defeat those who divide us.” He accused the current government of adopting colonial tactics of “divide and rule” and transferring the nation’s wealth to a select few.
He warned, “Today, a single word is being removed from the Constitution; tomorrow, the entire book could be changed.” The speaker criticized the RSS and the ruling party for allegedly introducing laws that undermine secularism and equality, and reaffirmed the Congress party’s strong opposition to such measures.
“This is not a political move,” he insisted. “We are here to fulfill the promise made by Gandhi to Maulana Azad: that all faiths are respected in this land. We apologize for the current state, but we promise to restore that spirit of unity.”
Quoting Gandhi’s prayer, “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram… Ishwar Allah Tero Naam,” the leader called for harmony and mutual respect among all religions.
He also cautioned against the illusion that new laws would benefit ordinary citizens, referencing the abrogation of Article 370 and the introduction of CAA-NRC. “Ask yourself, how much land or property have you gained? This is the same old strategy—pit brother against brother, and seize the nation’s assets for a privileged few.”
The leader highlighted the struggles of marginalized communities, including tribals and Dalits, warning that the new laws threaten the rights of all, not just Muslims. “This fight is not for one community, but for the survival of the entire nation. Today it’s your turn, tomorrow it could be ours.”
He reminded the audience that Indian culture is defined by respect for all religions and peaceful coexistence. “Those who plant their flag on others’ places of worship do not have true faith,” he said, criticizing moves to remove “secularism” and “socialism” from the Constitution’s Preamble.
Calling for solidarity, he urged, “Whether you are Hindu or Muslim, Dalit or Brahmin, forward or backward caste, remember: these people want to take away your rights. This is a fight to save all of India.”
The event concluded with emotional slogans and a call to action: “Let the friendship of Ashfaqulla Khan and Ram Prasad Bismil live on! Raise your voice! We will fight together!” The crowd responded enthusiastically, vowing to continue their struggle for justice, equality, and the protection of India’s secular values.
