In a dramatic hearing led by Haryana Women’s Commission Chairperson Renu Bhatia, a shocking case of serial marriages, fraud, and alleged involvement in a women trafficking racket has come to light. The hearing, which addressed a dozen domestic and family disputes, took an unexpected turn when the truth behind one woman’s repeated marriage and extortion schemes was revealed.
The case began as a routine complaint of domestic violence filed by a woman against her husband. However, as the investigation unfolded, authorities were stunned to discover that the woman had previously married two other men under similar circumstances. Each time, she allegedly extorted money from her husbands before abandoning them and moving on to her next target. Now, with her third husband, she had once again filed a domestic violence case and was reportedly demanding money.
During questioning, the third husband revealed that he suffers from a visual impairment and was led to believe that the woman would support and care for him. Instead, he claims he was manipulated and threatened. Further probing revealed that the woman’s aunt (bua) played a central role in these schemes, allegedly orchestrating the marriages and being involved in the trafficking of women.
Chairperson Renu Bhatia confronted both the woman and her aunt during the hearing, demanding answers and calling for a thorough investigation. The woman’s family members were contacted, and it was found that contrary to her affidavit, her parents were alive and aware of her activities. The aunt, when questioned, failed to provide satisfactory answers regarding her involvement and was accused of running a women supply and trafficking operation in the region.
The Chairperson ordered police to thoroughly investigate not only the woman’s three marriages but also the aunt’s alleged illegal activities. She instructed authorities to verify the backgrounds of all involved, check the property in question, and determine if any other women had fallen victim to similar schemes. The Commission also demanded a report from the CIA (Crime Investigation Agency) regarding the aunt’s criminal record.
“This is not just a case of domestic violence but a much deeper conspiracy involving repeated exploitation of men and possible trafficking of women,” said Renu Bhatia. “We will ensure strict action is taken against all those involved, and justice is served.”
The case has shocked the local community, with many questioning how such activities went unnoticed for so long. The Haryana Women’s Commission has vowed to continue its investigation and take firm action based on the findings.
