Shocking M*rder Case Unfolds: Woman and Accomplices Arrested for Killing Man Over Land Inheritance

In a chilling crime that has captured the attention of social media and news outlets across India, police have solved the brutal murder of a man from Madhya Pradesh, whose body was discovered in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar district.

The story began when Khushi Tiwari, a young woman, was scrolling through reels on her mobile phone. She paused on a video from a religious event in Rimjha village, Jabalpur, where a famous preacher, Anirudh Acharya, was answering questions. A man in the audience asked why, despite owning 18 acres of land, he was unable to get married. The preacher jokingly remarked that perhaps the girls’ families couldn’t see the land.

This reel caught Khushi’s attention, and she watched it repeatedly. Her brother, noticing her interest, suggested they contact the man. Soon, her so-called brother, Sandeep, traveled nearly 600 kilometers to meet the man—later identified as Indra Kumar—to propose a marriage alliance on behalf of his “sister.”

Tragically, what followed was a meticulously planned murder. Indra Kumar, a 45-year-old teacher from Patwar Khitola village, Jabalpur, was lured under the pretense of marriage. After initial contact, he was invited to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, where he was convinced to sign an affidavit transferring all his property to Khushi Tiwari (real name: Sahiba Bano) and Sandeep in the event of his death.

On June 5, 2025, Indra Kumar was taken to a hotel in Kasia, Kushinagar, where a fake marriage ceremony was performed. Later that evening, he was drugged during dinner and, once unconscious, transported to a remote area near Sukrauli, where he was stabbed multiple times. His body was left in the bushes, and his valuables, including jewelry and mobile phone, were stolen.

The crime was discovered when local children tending goats stumbled upon the body. Police, led by Circle Officer Kundan Kumar Singh and SHO Ram Shah Chauhan, began investigating. With no immediate leads, the case remained unsolved for over 20 days.

A breakthrough came via central police portals, which helped identify the victim as Indra Kumar. His brother, Ajay Kumar Tiwari, had reported him missing in Jabalpur shortly after Indra left home, stating he was traveling to meet a prospective bride.

Police tracked the mobile records and soon apprehended three suspects: Sahiba Bano (alias Khushi Tiwari), her husband Kaushal Kumar God, and their accomplice Shamsuddin Ansari. Investigations revealed Sahiba had married Kaushal in a love marriage and changed her name to Khushi Tiwari. Together with Shamsuddin, they orchestrated the murder to acquire Indra Kumar’s property.

On June 29, 2025, police announced the arrests and detailed the motive: the murder was committed to seize the victim’s assets. The case continues to be investigated for any possible similar crimes committed by the accused trio.

The shocking incident serves as a grim reminder to remain vigilant and careful in the digital age, where crime can be orchestrated through social media connections.
