Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Five, Including Four Children, in Hapur

A heart-wrenching road accident late Wednesday night in the Hafizpur area of Hapur district has claimed the lives of five people, including four children. Just hours before the tragedy, a video captured the group happily dancing and playing in a swimming pool, unaware that it would be their last joyful moment together.

The Incident

According to police reports, Danish (36), a resident of Rafique Nagar, Majidpura, along with his two daughters—Mayra (6) and Samaira (5)—his nephew Samar (8), and a neighbor’s son (8), had gone to a swimming pool in Mitthopur village for an outing. Around 10:30 PM, while returning home on a motorcycle, their vehicle was struck by a speeding canter truck near a road cut on the Bulandshahr-Hapur highway.

The collision was so severe that all five riders suffered fatal injuries. Police rushed to the scene and transported the victims to Devanandini Hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

Investigation and Aftermath

Initial investigations suggest that Danish may have lost control of the motorcycle after a canter truck suddenly appeared in front of them. The truck driver abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled. Police have seized the truck and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.

Hafizpur Police Station in-charge Ashish Pundir stated that there is suspicion Danish might have been under the influence of alcohol, which could have contributed to the accident. However, confirmation awaits the post-mortem report.

Senior officers, including CO Garhmukteshwar Varun Mishra and Additional Superintendent of Police Vineet Bhatnagar, visited the site to assess the situation.
