The Heart of Magahi Music

As we step into the studio, the air is filled with melodies and the energy of young artists. Golu, a well-known Magahi singer and studio owner, is at the center of the action, recording songs and mentoring fresh talent. “This is how we earn our living,” he laughs, wiping sweat from his brow as the summer heat intensifies. “If we don’t sing, how will we survive?”

Today, Golu is joined by Roshan Rohi, another rising star in the Magahi music scene. When asked about his work, Roshan shares, “I’ve recorded five songs today alone!” However, he’s hesitant to sing one on camera, joking, “If I sing now, someone might steal my song before it’s released!” He assures fans the new track will be out tomorrow.

Viral Hits and Real Emotions

Roshan’s recent songs have gone viral, especially “Joge Joge Chhori Khela Dhani 376,” which has struck a chord with listeners. When asked about the inspiration behind his music, Roshan candidly admits, “My heart has been broken too. That’s why these songs come from a real place.” The camaraderie and humor among the artists are palpable, as they tease each other and talk about love, heartbreak, and the ups and downs of an artist’s life.

Supporting New Talent

Golu and Roshan both emphasize the importance of supporting new artists in the Magahi genre. “Why shouldn’t we support these young boys who want to do something in Magahi?” says Golu. “They need encouragement, not just from us, but from everyone who loves this music.” The studio is a breeding ground for talent, with artists collaborating, debating, and pushing each other to improve.

The Unsung Heroes: Studio Technicians

Behind every hit song is a team of dedicated technicians. Golu’s studio staff work tirelessly, mixing, mastering, and producing music that’s heard across the state. “We’re the stars behind the scenes,” one technician laughs, “but we let the singers have the spotlight.”

Magahi and Bhojpuri: A Shared Legacy

While Magahi music is their mainstay, many of these artists also sing in Bhojpuri, a language with a massive fanbase. “For me, Magahi and Bhojpuri are equally important,” Roshan says. “Bhojpuri will never lose its place, but Magahi is growing fast thanks to platforms like Mahak Entertainment and Shivash Films, which have over a million subscribers.”

Challenges and Controversies

Success hasn’t come easy. “We’ve faced our share of controversies and struggles,” Golu admits. “But with hard work and support from fans, we keep moving forward.” The artists speak openly about financial challenges and the need to balance authenticity with commercial appeal.

A Message to Fans

As the session wraps up, Roshan and Golu thank their fans for their unwavering support. “It’s your love that keeps us going,” Roshan says. “We promise to keep bringing you songs that touch your heart, whether in Magahi, Bhojpuri, or Hindi.”
