Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar are facing unexpected turmoil as a startling revelation has surfaced about late superstar Rajesh Khanna—thirteen years after his death. Rajesh Khanna, known as Bollywood’s first superstar, was first married to actress Dimple Kapadia, with whom he had two daughters, Twinkle and Rinke. However, the couple separated a few years into their marriage.

Following the split, Rajesh Khanna began living with Anita Advani, his former girlfriend whom he had not initially married, but who returned to his life after his marriage with Dimple soured. Rajesh and Anita lived together in a live-in relationship until his passing on July 18, 2012.

For years, Anita Advani stayed silent. But now, thirteen years after Rajesh Khanna’s death, she has broken her silence, shocking fans and the industry with claims of a secret marriage. In a recent interview with Meri Saheli magazine, Anita shared, “I started living with him in 2000. At that time, he was a very calm person, but after a few drinks, he would get short-tempered. I don’t think it was frustration from his career; even small things would irritate him and make him angry.”

About her relationship with Rajesh Khanna, Anita disclosed, “We secretly got married, but no one in the industry ever discussed it openly. People would say we were just friends or in a relationship, but the news was already spreading in the media that I was with him. We never felt the need to announce our marriage publicly. There was a small temple in our house. I got a gold mangalsutra made, and he made me wear it, applying sindoor on my forehead. He told me that from today, you’re my responsibility. And just like that, one night, we were married.”

Anita further revealed that she had been in Rajesh Khanna’s life even before his marriage to Dimple, but they couldn’t marry at that time as she was too young. When Rajesh and Dimple’s relationship deteriorated, Anita re-entered his life.

It is said that after Rajesh Khanna’s death, Dimple Kapadia promptly asked Anita to vacate his bungalow and sold the property to prevent Anita from claiming any rights. All of Rajesh Khanna’s wealth went to Dimple and their two daughters.

Many still believe that even though Rajesh Khanna married Dimple, there was never any real love between them. Dimple herself was often linked to actor Sunny Deol, and the two were seen spending time together abroad.
