Teacher in Banda Under Fire for Making Dance Reels During School Hours, Investigation Launched

A teacher from Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya in Jaspura, Banda, has sparked controversy after videos surfaced showing her dancing and making social media reels during school hours while her students sat in class. The videos, featuring popular Bollywood songs like “Saanchi Kaho Humse Tumko Kitna Pyar Hai” and “Tum Hi Tum Nigahon Mein Ho,” quickly went viral, drawing public criticism and catching the attention of education authorities.

In the videos, the teacher can be seen dancing enthusiastically inside the classroom, focusing on her performance for the camera rather than her students. In several clips, it’s evident that while one teacher was teaching the students, the “reel madam” was filming herself nearby, causing disturbance and distraction to both her colleagues and the students seated for their lessons.

It’s reported that the teacher has a long-standing passion for making reels on social media. However, her choice to pursue this interest during school working hours has now come under official scrutiny. The Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) has launched an investigation into the matter, giving the teacher three days to submit a clarification regarding her actions.

The incident has reignited debate about professionalism and responsibility in educational settings. Many have condemned the disruption caused to students’ learning and questioned the teacher’s commitment to her primary duty: educating her students.

Authorities remain clear that classroom time is meant for instruction, not personal entertainment or social media activities. The ongoing investigation will determine what disciplinary actions, if any, will be taken in response to these viral incidents.

As the probe continues, the education department has reiterated the importance of maintaining discipline and focus in schools, ensuring that students receive the quality education they deserve.
