Tragic Road Accident in Aligarh: Four Family Members Burnt Alive

A devastating road accident occurred early morning near Akbarabad in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. On National Highway 91, a car carrying a family collided head-on with a mini truck near the Gopi Overbridge. The impact was so severe that both vehicles caught fire almost immediately.

Tragically, four members of the same family, including two children aged 5 to 8, a woman, and a man, were burnt alive inside the car. Only one person was rescued and is currently hospitalized in critical condition. Initial reports suggest the car crossed the divider, possibly because the driver dozed off, and crashed directly into the oncoming truck.

Despite the prompt arrival of fire brigades and police, the flames spread rapidly due to a possible fuel tank explosion, making rescue impossible for most victims. The bodies were so badly charred that identification has not yet been confirmed.

The family was reportedly returning home after visiting a temple. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and have begun legal proceedings. Traffic on the highway was diverted to prevent further chaos, and rescue operations continued at the scene.
