Azam Khan Bail News: Sitapur Jail से आजम के रिहा होने में क्यों हो रही देरी, पता चली वजह

Azam Khan’s Release Delayed Over ₹8,000 Fine

Azam Khan, the prominent Samajwadi Party leader and former minister from Uttar Pradesh, was set to be released from Sitapur Jail on Tuesday morning after spending 23 months behind bars. However, his release was unexpectedly delayed due to a pending fine of ₹8,000 that had not been paid. Despite orders for his release in 72 cases, and recent bail granted in 19 cases by the MP-MLA session court, the missing payment held up the process.

Supporters and his son, Adeeb Azam, had gathered outside the jail from early morning, eagerly awaiting his release. The delay caused concern among his followers, who learned that the fine had not been paid due to an oversight. Once the amount is deposited, Azam Khan is expected to walk free.

Even after his release, Azam Khan’s legal troubles are not over. He has been summoned to court on October 1st in connection with allegations of tampering with official records and destroying evidence. Last year, Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam were cleared by Rampur police of charges related to enemy property, but a new additional charge sheet was filed recently, implicating him under several sections of the IPC.

The delay in his release has increased anxiety among his supporters. His family and lawyers remain in close contact with authorities to resolve the issue quickly. As soon as the fine is paid, Azam Khan is expected to leave jail, but his legal battles continue.
