According to reports, the man, identified as Tatappa from Shakti Nagar’s MCC Labour Colony, was traveling with his wife Gadamma on July 11 after picking her up from her parental home following the Muharram holiday. The couple stopped on the bridge to take selfies—a seemingly innocent moment that quickly turned into a nightmare.

Eyewitnesses say that while taking photos, Gadamma allegedly pushed her husband into the fast-flowing Krishna River. As Tatappa struggled in the current, he managed to cling onto a rock and began screaming for help. Onlookers rushed to the scene, tying ropes to the bridge railing and launching a daring rescue operation, all captured in a heart-stopping video.

In the video, Gadamma is seen standing on the bridge, insisting she did not push her husband, claiming he slipped while they were taking photos. However, Tatappa told police that his wife intentionally shoved him into the river, a claim that has intensified the controversy.

Despite the ordeal, Tatappa was eventually pulled to safety by a group of locals, but he alleges his wife made no attempt to help him, further fueling suspicions about her intentions. He has since filed a complaint with the police, stating he now fears for his life and no longer wishes to live with his wife.

The shocking incident has left viewers in disbelief, with many questioning what really happened on the bridge that day. Police are investigating the matter, and the truth behind this dramatic river rescue is yet to be fully uncovered.
