Nepal Violence में Hilton Hotel जलकर पूरी तरह खाक, बारबटीन Shopping Complex में अब तक धधक रही आग

Hilton Hotel and Major Landmarks Destroyed in Kathmandu as Nepal’s Political Violence Escalates

New images have emerged showing the devastation of the Hilton Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal, amid ongoing political violence and unrest. The once-iconic hotel, the tallest in Kathmandu and built at a cost of billions, now stands as a charred ruin—a stark symbol of the destruction that has swept through the city.

During the recent wave of protests, which turned violent, angry youth demonstrators did not spare even the city’s prominent buildings. The Hilton Hotel was set ablaze, and the flames completely gutted the structure. These scenes are part of a wider pattern of destruction, as other notable sites, including the Barbotam Shopping Complex—Nepal’s largest shopping center—were also targeted and set on fire. Four days after the violence, firefighters are still working to control lingering blazes in these buildings.

NDTV India reporters on the ground described how the Barbotam Complex is now just a shell of its former self, with police and fire brigades struggling to bring the situation under control. The unrest erupted in the very heart of Kathmandu, with several historic and important buildings falling victim to the violence.

Curfews were imposed across many parts of the city. However, the army has now lifted curfews in some areas, granting limited relief to residents as authorities attempt to restore normalcy. Efforts are ongoing to remove protestors from the streets and prevent further escalation.
