In a 2-minute, 12-second video that has now gone viral, the constable’s wife can be seen crying and accusing her husband, Anurag Singh, and his family of relentless abuse and dowry harassment.

In the emotional video, the woman alleges that her in-laws and husband subjected her to extreme torture, both physically and mentally, for not bringing enough dowry. “They hit me, they tortured me, they say ‘kill her, she brought nothing for dowry,’” she cries in the video. The woman further claims her in-laws were plotting to arrange a second marriage for her husband, which led to even more mental torment.

The video also contains a desperate plea for strict action against her husband and his family, as she expresses deep disappointment with the system. “Leaders say ‘Save the Daughters, Educate the Daughters’ but here, daughters are not safe at all. There is no justice for us,” she says, calling out to authorities for help.
