Rescue Operations Continue in Dharali Village After Devastating Flood

“My name is Rajesh Singh Pawar, and I am a resident of Dharali village. I am currently at the site where the massive disaster struck on the 5th, causing severe flooding,” Rajesh Singh Pawar shared. “Our village has suffered extensive damage, and Dharali is almost completely destroyed. The army has been continuously helping us for the past two to three days.”

He explained, “The Ganga river is at its peak, and today, the army built a bridge for us. This has made it much easier for the elderly and patients in our village to move around, as crossing the river had become extremely difficult. The army constructed the bridge and provided essential support. They also helped with first aid for those injured and sick.”

“I am deeply grateful for all the help you have given our village and this area. Thank you very much,” he added.

Currently, rescue operations are ongoing in Dharali village, now in their third day. Today, a footbridge was established over the Bhagirathi river, allowing rescuers to safely transport injured people and stranded travelers to safer locations.
