Samastipur Murder Case: बिहार के समस्तीपुर से आई दिल दहला देने वाली घटना | Smita Jha | Bihar Crime

In a sensational and disturbing case from Samastipur, Bihar, humanity and the sacred bond of marriage have been deeply shaken. The shocking murder of 30-year-old Sonu Jha by his wife, Smita Jha, and her lover Hari Om—a man who tutored the couple’s children—has left not just the state but the entire nation reeling.

The Affair That Led to Murder

Sonu Jha, an e-rickshaw driver, married Smita Jha in 2017. The couple had two children and were leading what looked like an ordinary family life. About a year ago, Hari Om began visiting the house regularly as a private tutor for Smita and Sonu’s children. Taking advantage of Sonu’s long working hours, Smita and Hari Om began an illicit affair.

The Fateful Night

Everything changed on the night of July 25th. Sonu, returning home unexpectedly and reportedly inebriated, caught Smita and Hari Om together in a compromising position. Shocked and enraged, Sonu confronted them, and a violent altercation ensued. During the fight, Hari Om and Smita overpowered Sonu. Using kettle cords and sticks, they beat him brutally. Ultimately, they strangled him with an electric wire and administered electric shocks, leaving Sonu to die a painful death.

The Ultimate Betrayal

In a crime that has horrified even the most seasoned investigators, Smita and Hari Om showed no remorse. According to police reports and Smita’s confession, after Sonu’s death, the lovers spent hours together—going as far as being physically intimate right in front of Sonu’s lifeless body.

The Cover-Up and Aftermath

The following morning, Smita tried to stage the scene as an accidental electrocution. She raised a commotion, claiming Sonu had died due to an electric shock. Sonu’s father rushed to the room—only to discover blood spatters on the walls, a blood-soaked bed, Sonu’s swollen face, injuries from repeated beatings, and burn marks on his arm. Realising that foul play was involved, Sonu’s family immediately called the police.

Upon investigation, authorities arrested Smita and Hari Om. Both have confessed to their involvement, with Smita’s statement filled with cold justification and a chilling lack of remorse.
