Alia Bhatt Betrayed! Ex-Assistant Arrested for Masterminding ₹77 Lakh Scam

Bollywood is reeling after it was revealed that Alia Bhatt’s former personal assistant, Vedika Prakash Shetty, allegedly siphoned off a staggering ₹76.9 lakh from the superstar’s production house and personal accounts—using nothing but fake bills and forged signatures.

Shetty, 32, worked closely with Alia for over two years at Eternal Sunshine Productions Private Limited. But behind the scenes, she was reportedly orchestrating a massive embezzlement scheme. The Mumbai police finally tracked her down in Bengaluru after months of evasion, arresting her and presenting her before the Bandra Magistrate Court, which ordered her into police custody until July 10.

The shocking scam came to light when Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan, filed an FIR in January. Investigators discovered that Shetty had been submitting a series of bogus invoices, which appeared to be authorized by Alia herself. The stolen money was funneled through a friend’s bank account before landing in Shetty’s own hands.

Police sources say Shetty went to great lengths to avoid capture, constantly changing her location. Although her friend is believed not to have kept any of the stolen cash, both are now under intense questioning as authorities work to recover the missing funds.

This jaw-dropping betrayal has left fans stunned and serves as a stark reminder: sometimes, the greatest dangers come from those closest to you.
