Haryana Suicide Case: Man Ends Life After Wife’s Affair With Police Inspector—A Tragic Story of Betrayal, Blackmail, and Legal Action

The situation became unbearable for Ajay when Divya allegedly sent him an explicit video of herself with Deepak. In the video, Divya could be seen dancing and behaving intimately with Deepak, leaving Ajay devastated.

Unable to cope with the betrayal and public humiliation—not to mention the fact that his wife herself shared such content with him—Ajay decided to end his life by hanging. But before taking this extreme step, Ajay recorded a video message for his family and the police, laying out the facts and appealing for strict action against his wife and her lover.

Allegations and Financial Demands

In his video, Ajay claimed that both Divya and Deepak were harassing him mentally and financially. He alleged that Divya demanded Ajay kill his own father and sell the ancestral land so that Deepak could get money for a job promotion. Ajay described how, under pressure, he transferred significant sums—₹1.5 lakh and more—to Divya, which she, in turn, sent to Deepak.

Ajay’s distress escalated after he was asked for even more money and pushed towards committing an unthinkable crime against his father. He stated he simply could not fulfill these demands and, crushed by the emotional and financial abuse, took the drastic step of suicide.

Post-Suicide Actions and Legal Proceedings

After Ajay’s suicide on 18 June, his family found his body hanging from a tree. His last recorded video became a crucial piece of evidence, triggering police action. Divya was arrested and sent to jail, while Deepak’s bail request was rejected by a Rohtak court and the matter is now pending before the High Court. The police have recorded Deepak’s statements—although he denied any serious relationship with Divya, claiming they simply had a “paid acquaintance” and that Ajay’s death had nothing to do with him.
